Miramichi 2030!

On Saturday, March 19, 2016 a fantastic group of local young people came out to have truly inspiring discussion about the future of Miramichi! The event was Miramichi2030. It brought together Miramichiers in their 20s and 30s (and 20/30ish!) to give ideas and dream big about what we would like our community to look like in the year 2030.

It was a chance to imagine what we could build, and where we see opportunities and potential to make the Miramichi the best possible version of itself by 2030. Discussions were a round table format and were focused on two areas: community development and economic opportunities.

There was a fantastic turn out and discussion. As a result, the Miramichi 2030 Report was created and presented to the Mayor, City Council and MLA Lisa Harris. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the discussion or presentation don't worry, you can still see what this awesome group of local young people have to say in the Miramichi 2030 Report!
