The annual MYPIE Gala was once again a huge success that saw not only saw our deserving award recipients recognized, but also celebrated the successes of all young entrepreneurs and professionals in the Miramichi region with a fun, positive energy that carried on throughout the night . The event and the MYPIE organization itself are both in an exciting state of renewal, and these changes brought new life to the Gala. This year the event was moved to The Riverside Entertainment Centre and began with a cocktail and hor d’oeuvres reception, complete with a Vegas Style photo backdrop. The evening then moved into the awards ceremony with a welcome from the MYPIE Board of Directors, and greetings from MP Tilly O'Neill-Gordon, MLA Lisa Harris, and City Councillor Peggy McLean. The event was hosted by MYPIE board members Adam Hambrook, Breanne Tozer, and Adam Lordon. This year's recipients each had their accomplishments presented by the hosts. Winners were: Entrepreneur of the Year - Evan & Wade Hamilton- Best Price Auto Sales Professional of Year - Guy Richard - Mortgage Consultant at The Mortgage Centre Community Champion - Kim Hotton - Executive Director at Volunteer Miramichi, Board Member of Change Miramichi, and Board member of JMH Alumni. After the awards ceremony wrapped up the event shifted gears and attendees danced the night away to the popular music of Short Sweet Ride.
