However, its tranquil waters offer another invigorating opportunity to experience the beauty of the river and its valley, up close, for those looking for something other than fishing. Daytrips by canoe, kayak and tube are loads of fun for cottagers visiting the Miramichi River. As of 2015, we are offering stand-up paddle boarding as a new and unique way to travel the river! The journey, anywhere from 2-5 hours back to Storeytown offers a variety of water from slow, deep pools, to faster low level rapids and quiet off-chutes. Keep your camera nearby as it is a regular occurrence to see osprey, bald eagles, moose, otter and other wildlife along the way. The river will lead you directly to the shores in front of your cottage.

Miramichi Proud Video Series - Green Life Farm
Green Life Farm is located in Whitney, NB, just outside of Miramichi. We specialize in Fruit and Vegetable production. The farm consists of 2.5 acres dedicated to production, and we have several 100 foot-long greenhouses for warmer loving crops and season extension. Green Life Farm is a Family run business owned by Daniel Ettinger and run by the Ettinger family. We farm using no chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, and in the future we will be looking to gain our Organic Certification.
We grow using natural methods to ensure optimal soil health that will create high quality and nutrient-dense produce. One of our goals is to produce the best food possible for the residents of Miramichi and surrounding areas. We love the thought of giving people as much access as possible to enjoy fresh produce for as long as our seasons allow it.
