MYPIE History
The network of Miramichi Young Professionals and Involved Entrepreneurs was created and launched in September 2008 under the joint forces of Enterprise Miramichi and CBDC Northumberland.
The idea was to provide a platform for the young entrepreneurs & professionals of the region in which to network, exchange & obtain information, recognize their efforts and have a voice within the community. Monthly business mixers were held from September to June and the network quickly obtained self-sufficiency through its fundraising activities. In May of 2010, the network obtained self-governance by electing an interim board of directors. Its nine founding members have made history by taking the network to the next level and ensuring its continuity.
MYPIE wants to acknowledge the great support provided by Enterprise Miramichi as well as other partners, such as the CBDC Northumberland, City of Miramichi, and the NB Association of CBDCs.
There are similar organizations in the province of New Brunswick in which MYPIE is affiliates, namely Fusion Saint John, Capital City Connection in Fredericton, and the Réseau des Jeunes en affaires de la Péninsule Acadienne.
Our Vision
To have a self-sufficient organization that supports young entrepreneurs and professionals to build a vibrant economy and sustains long-term opportunities in the Miramichi region.
Our Mission Statement
To provide support for young entrepreneurs and professionals through networking, training and recognition.
