Community involvement is a trait that we find in all demographics; this award has been created to specifically recognize the drive, generosity, and commitment displayed by a young person in their community. Whether you are a high school student or a professional with 10 years of experience, you must have shown outstanding community involvement, leadership, and a civic-minded attitude. You are one of the “doers”, a mover and a shaker that embraces community spirit and to whom the word volunteer really comes as a second nature.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be or have been:
A resident of the Miramichi or surrounding areas for at least 2 years;
Actively involved in their community
The Candidate must be 45 years old or under on April 1, 2011S
Students (high schools and the community college) are also eligible for this award
The candidate must have displayed outstanding community involvement and a firm desire and commitment to work towards the betterment of their community.

Financial institutions
Various organizations/government
Who will review the nomination?
The selection committee, specially put together for this gala, will consist of representatives from the business community and organizations pertaining to economic development and youth.
